Through attendance and participation in club meetings and applying yourself to the Education Program that Toastmasters offers, you will find yourself increasing your self-confidence, becoming a better speaker, become a better leader, and communicating more effectively.
Membership in Toastmasters in one of the greatest and most affordable investments you can make in yourself. For a one-time new member fee of $20 and $45 every six months (clubs may charge additional dues), it is also one of the most cost-effective skill-building tools available anywhere.

What Happens At A Toastmasters Meeting?
There is no instructor in a Toastmasters meeting. Instead, members evaluate each other’s presentations during the meeting. This feedback process is a key part of the program’s success. Meeting participants also give impromptu talks on assigned topics, conduct meetings, and develop skills related to timekeeping, grammar and parliamentary procedure.

Find A Club And Join Toastmasters!
District 55 Toastmasters has over 150 clubs covering South and Central Texas. Currently Clubs are primarily meeting online but we have a combination of online and “live” clubs to meet your needs. By practicing presentations in a “safe” environment, where evaluators are supportive and it’s “ok to fail,” club members improve their ability to inform, persuade, entertain and even inspire.
There are two types of clubs: community clubs that anyone can join, and corporate or restricted clubs (R) where you will need to fit certain criteria (such as working at a specific company).
Take a look at all of the clubs in our District, or go to "Find a Club" on Toastmasters International. You can also email us at visitors@tmd55.org for assistance.

Company Club Benefits
A company’s success depends on effective communication and leadership; Toastmasters produces results. Around the world more than three million men and women of all ages and occupations have benefited from Toastmasters training, and more than one thousand corporations, community groups, universities, associations, and government agencies now use Toastmasters training.
Community Club Benefits
Toastmasters has helped many members in their community service activities. Using their Toastmasters experience, members are better able to organize activities, conduct meetings, and speak in public as their organization’s representative. Some even become active in local, state or national government.
If you already recognize the value of the Toastmasters program and are ready to start a new club at your work place or in your community, please email our Club Growth Director: d55cgd@tmd55.org
Advanced Club Benefits
Advanced clubs allow members to continue to grow. Advanced clubs focus on taking speaking and leadership to the next level, by using more intense evaluations, and offering advanced leadership opportunities to members. Advanced clubs will have required educational or leadership experience in order to become a member.
