Luisa Montalvo speech was clearly a winner from the moment she acknowledged the contest chair. WE ALL KNEW, but we had to wait for the judges to confirm. Luisa was in an incredible field of speakers, but her speech "37 Strangers" in the World Championship Finals yielded her the WIN! Luisa is no stranger to the world stage, she's competed at this level several times, coming in 2nd in the world in 2019.
Luisa's bravery, heart and humor shone brightly throughout this speech, more brilliant than we've ever seen from her before. Reaching out over the crowd to everyone watching worldwide, she clearly won the hearts of not only the judges but the entire Toastmaster community (in the room, and over the live stream around the world).
