Luisa Montalvo, member of Hub City Toastmasters in Pharr, is one of two winners of the Region 3 International Speech contest!
Luisa's inspiring speech about learning to be a drummer won the District 55 contest at our conference in May.
The video of her speech was submitted to Toastmasters International to compete against 8 other Region 3 District Winners. We're so proud that she won that round too!
Luisa and Micheal Desiderio from District 3 will compete in the semi-finals at the International Convention in Anaheim, California, August 14 - 17. The details are on the Toastmasters International website. Two winners of the semi-finals will go through to compete to be the World Champion of Public Speaking, and we're sure Luisa can go all the way!
